Actsoft Launches Web Version of Advanced Wireless Forms

Tampa, FL (PRWEB) November 02, 2011

Actsoft Inc, a leading provider of wireless data collection and mobile resource management (MRM) software applications announced today it has launched a web version of the popular mobile business solution, Advanced Wireless Forms.

In todays fast moving mobile work environment, more businesses are finding great value in being able to manage projects, forms and teams online. No matter the complexity, Advanced Wireless Forms allows employers to create and deploy electronic forms to serve their business needs, and realize the full potential of mobile data collection.

The web version gives the flexibility of accessing both the form-building process and data analysis from any computer with internet connectivity. Simply create a clone of any paper business form, and save it to the Actsoft cloud. Once built, with just a click, it can be deployed across different platforms, handsets or tablets. When the form is online, its easy to send and retrieve operational data instantly. A convenient dashboard gives immediate insight to business intelligence on easy-to-read graphs and charts.

Specialized, interactive tutorials walk employers through the form building process so they can create customized forms to fit any industry. Advanced Wireless Forms takes the guesswork out of paper and streamlines business processes. Flipping through pages of forms is eliminated completely, as is double entry and all of the errors associated with clipboard and pencil technology.

For customers looking to do more than basic data collection, Actsofts Advanced Wireless Forms integrates with any of the Comet Suite of GPS and wireless mobile business applications.

Moving paper forms onto mobile devices is certainly the backbone of Advanced Wireless Forms; yet the overall value proposition has become much more robust. Collecting, viewing, reporting, analyzing and integrating valuable field data has driven our solutions to a whole new level, states Eric Rabinovitz, Actsoft Vice President of Operations. Taking it to the cloud in our latest release enables access from anywhere, giving clients quick and easy insight so they can make good business decisions.

The Advanced Wireless Forms mobile application is currently available on Apple, BlackBerry and Android devices on all major US carriers.

Gefen Unveils Wireless USB Extender Making Real-Time Cable-Free USB 2.0 Extension a Reality

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) January 11, 2006

Gefen announces the launch of its new Wireless USB Extender, making real-time cable-free USB 2.0 extension a reality. Any USB 2.0 peripheral can be powered from remote distances up to 30 feet from any Apple computer without cables using Gefens first-of-its-kind Wireless USB Extender.

The unit supports the instantaneous transfer of data using Freescale Semiconductor's Ultra-Wideband wireless solution and marks the initial release of UWB-enabled products for the U.S. market.

Like most of Gefens extension solutions, the Wireless USB Extender uses small sender and receiver units connected to the computer and the extended USB device. The difference ends here though as no cables are needed to link sender to receiver, which can connect to cameras, keyboards, printers or any USB 2.0 device located up to 30 feet from the computer.

The receiver is actually a four-port USB 2.0 hub, and were considering offering optional additional receivers as the computers sender unit can technically support more than one receiver at a time, said Hagai Gefen, president and CEO. The receivers also support hub connections, so you can connect more than four devices into each receiver by adding hubs to the receiver.

Freescales UWB technology enables high transfer rates of video, audio and data streams wirelessly, reaching rates 100 times faster than Bluetooth(r) technology while maintaining wire-like quality, according to initial testing. The Wireless USB Extender also uses ExtremeUSB technology from Icron Technologies Corporation that enables a seamless transition with no new software required.

Gefens plug and play Wireless USB Extender requires no upgrades or software installation. Demos will be provided throughout Macworld at Booth 2746, and the unit is expected to hit production by end of Q1 2006.
